Catania Superstore Decò of Gruppo Arena implements the communication solutions by Nicolis Project

Thanks to electronic shelf labels the Gruppo Arena’s supermarket based in Catania kicks off again by focusing on efficiency and quality

Grocery shopping in Catania is now more practical and innovative. In fact, after the reopening of the Superstore Decò Carnazza, customers had a chance to discover a renewed and well organized supermarket boasting an excellent range of products, where they can find anything they need much more easily. An important contribution to such a success was made by the electronic shelf labels and bsystem3, which have been installed in all the departments to improve the way customers get informed about prices and special offers.

Electronic shelf labels improve shelf price handling and customer communication

Following the implementation at the Gourmet Decò stores located in Cefalù and Catania, Arena Group has chosen the digital communication solutions designed by Nicolis Project once again, in order to improve pricing management within a larger supermarket. As from May 29, customers are going to find the right and updated price for every product displayed in the aisles, since electronic tags, changes, discounts and promotions can now be managed remotely, in real time. Therefore, thanks to such systems, the information between the cash desks and the various aisles is always aligned. Clear and impactful communication directly affects the perception that customers have of the supermarket and its services, and by acting on the way information is circulated within the store their shopping experience can be significantly improved.

Another method that helps to enhance in-store communication and to guide the customers during the shopping session is to use shelf markers, which highlight special offers, product benefits, technical data sheets and product categories. At Decò Carnazza Superstore bsystem3, the frontal and lateral communication system patented by Nicolis Project, has been implemented too.
When inserting and removing the communication highlighters of bsystem3, store staff can also rely on the multi-colour flashing LED of the interactive shelf labels, which facilitates and speeds up product status handling.
